Job applicant safety guide:
Beware of recruitment scams

Important update: We’ve been alerted to a phishing scam pretending to represent Runn. If you’ve been contacted via What’s App with a remote job offer request for payment or personal details, please report it immediately.

We know there’s been a rise in phishing scams targeting job seekers lately, and it’s frustrating to see people exploiting others’ career aspirations.

At Runn, your job application journey should be exciting, transparent, and always free. We will never ask you to pay for anything during the recruitment or onboarding process—whether it’s fees, training, equipment or any other expenses.

If you’re ever asked for money as part of a job application claiming to be from us, it’s not legitimate.

What to do if you see something suspicious?

If you see a suspicious job post or message or someone claiming to represent Runn asking for payment or requesting account login details, report the incident directly on the platform where they contacted you (e.g., LinkedIn, WhatsApp, or email). Most have a "Report" or "Flag as Suspicious" option.

We also encourage you to report the phishing scheme to your local authority. If you are in the US, you can report the fraud to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC): https://reportfraud.ftc.gov/

Your safety matters to us. Thank you for helping us keep the Runn application process secure.
